Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  1. What is this site about?
  2. www.crossfit.com

  3. Who is this site for?
  4. Crossfit affiliates (gyms). This site is designed to be used as a tool in the gym to record and track workout performances.

  5. Can athletes access this site individually from outside the gym?
  6. Not recommended. Athletes can access their individual workout data at home on www.logwod.com. There is a "gym" tab where they can see gym workout results.

  7. Can I as an individual Athlete use this site?
  8. Yes, but you will get better results with an account at the logwod.com Athlete site, which has more functionality for individual athletes.

  9. What is a WOD?
  10. WOD stands for Workout Of the Day. A WOD is a prescribed workout to be performed. WOD performance is always measureable by some standard of performance, such as time or weight. This way you can compare your WOD performance to others. WODs are meant to be repeated, so you can measure your progress.

  11. Can I enter more than one measure of performance for my WOD workout? Why not?
  12. No, not if it's a WOD. A single measurable criteria is neccessary to rank and compare performance. Enter additional performance data in the comments.

  13. What is the whiteboard for?
  14. Public display. If you have an LCD TV or projection screen on the wall, launch the whiteboard for the day's workout, and set it up to display on the wall. Keep the "today" page open on another monitor or computer to record the day's workouts. The whiteboard will automatically update to display results. Competition is good. A side note: if you use this feature, please send me an email sometime and tell me how it works for you.

  15. What is the difference between a gym WOD and a crossfit WOD?
  16. Crossfit WODs are taken from the main site. If you want to program different reusable WODS, create a gym WOD. However, there is no reason to duplicate existing Crossfit WODs, as you can schedule them anytime you like.

  17. How does scheduling work?
  18. Scheduling consists of 2 things: a WOD and a date. There are several schedules available. The crossfit schedule is available, and you can create a gym schedule as well.

  19. Can I schedule more than one WOD for a specific date?
  20. Yes, you can schedule as many WODs as you want for any date.

  21. The scheduled WOD that I want is not coming up on the Today screen. What do I do?
  22. Go to the Schedule tab and click on the date link for the scheduled WOD you want. That WOD will come up and stay up. Note the workout date is set to the scheduling date (you can change it). Click "Today" to return to today's workout.

  23. Can I change the date that a crossfit WOD is scheduled for?
  24. No. Simply schedule the same WOD for a different date. If you follow the crossfit schedule but stay a few days behind, set "days behind" in Settings and your crossfit schedule will be delayed that number of days.

  25. Do I have to logout each day?
  26. Nope. If you close the browser, you can automatically log in the next day (if you checked the box). When you logout, it cancels the auto login cookie, so you can login as someone else.

  27. How do I add gym members?
  28. To add someone who does not have a logwod account, enter their info in the "Athlete" tab. To add someone who already has a logwod account, enter their email in the search box at the Athlete tab.

  29. How do I remove gym members?
  30. Go to the "Client" tab and click on the "more actions" link for the athlete you want to remove. That gives you a button to remove them. Note: this only disassociates them from the gym, it does not delete their account or data. If you make a mistake or a former member returns, you can add their account to the gym again.

  31. How do I reset an athlete's password?
  32. Go to the "Client" tab and click on the "more actions" link for the athlete you want to remove.

  33. Why do I have to re-enter my password to change settings or access the Client tab?
  34. So you can leave the site up in the gym unattended without worrying about someone monkeying with your settings.

  35. I have an idea, a feature request, or a recommended change to fix something that is confusing.
  36. Send it to me at ed@logwod.com

  37. How can I get help?
  38. Contact me at ed@logwod.com
